This piece was a warm up, group activity which enabled participants to use their whole body as we poured our pastel hearts onto a large sheet of thick paper.
A variety of mediums were used. One activity included using dry and wet clay to make a piece that reflects comfort. Dry clay
Life: A Collage. Paper, wool, pastels, ribbon, magazine.
“What do you do?” This piece, made from chux cloth expresses the frustration felt when home duties are not recognised for the full time work that they are. Chux, thread, buttons & material.
Babushka Mums. An homage to a line of mothers in one participant’s family. Photos, pencil, paints.
In Utero. A snug home for baby to grow. Canvas, paint, material.
Information Overload. An installation reflecting the plethora of books, pamphlets and “must knows” that line the halls of the mothering world.
