Get it out on paper
Sometimes it’s hard to find the words to express how you feel. Journaling gives you a way to honor your voice even when you don’t have someone to share your feelings with or don’t want to talk. And because feelings always find their way out, journaling is a constructive way for that to happen.
There are no rules to journaling. From jotting down single words, to writing phrases, and full-on paragraphs—do what works for you. Use this lined journal to pour out your heart and process your thoughts with an affirmation or scripture verse on the bottom of every page.
Therapy Journals
In processing my childhood experiences with my counselor, I learned much of what I experienced were losses that were never grieved. So, I created the My Journey Through Grief and Loss Journal to do help me both release the pain and remember what’s precious.
Once you start counseling, you realize you get so caught up in a break through or in feeling emotions that afterward you don’t remember what happened. I created the My Personal Reflections Journal: guided post-session review so I had a place to jot down important things said in session along with my takeaway for processing next steps.
