In Utero. A snug home for baby to grow. Canvas, paint, material.
Often on social media, we capture the beautiful stuff – maybe because we want to remember the beautiful stuff or we are trying to maintain a positive outlook. Maybe, because there is so much crappy stuff on in the world that we need space to look at nice stuff and happy faces as an escape from the misery. However maybe sometimes it’s healthy to discuss and share the reality of our lives as that might just make others feel better too, reassuring them that they are normal, that it is natural to have ups and downs in life.
Hi there! I can’t believe our MUM workshops have flown by so quickly!! Here are the deets for our exhibition. It’ll make a great Mother’s Day trip 🙂

International Women’s Day (8 March) is a global day celebrating the achievements of women while calling for greater equality. ‘Make It Happen’ is the 2015 theme for this year’s International Women’s Day, encouraging effective action for advancing and recognising women.
A big thank-you to all Mums who ‘make it happen’ everyday from making sure kids are fed and clothed to juggling work and family life.
The theme ‘make it happen’ is also aimed at those in power to make decisions which impact on the lives of women and mothers, to make things better for women and more equal. We hope that organisations with power to make decisions will make things better for women and mothers by recognising all that mothers do and make decisions which make it better for mothers in the future, such as make sure we have enough childcare, encourage work opportunities that are flexible for Mums, support single Mums, take family violence seriously and make our communities more mother and child friendly!
Happy International Women’s Day from Motherhood Unmasked!
