You don’t have to prove you’re better than your mom.
You don’t have to prove you’re as good a mom as so and so.
You don’t have to prove motherhood is second nature to you.
You don’t have to prove you know what you’re doing with your kids.
You don’t have to prove you don’t need help.
None of us have a manual for motherhood. But that doesn’t mean you can’t be better equipped. What you can have, along with God’s wisdom and guidance, is a community with women walking out this motherhood journey.
Doesn’t have to be a squad.
Two is the smallest plurality, giving both of you someone to help you succeed and help you when you fall. Someone safe enough to admit she’s not perfect and prefers you don’t pretend to be. Someone who sharpens your effectiveness as the mother your children need.
You have nothing to prove. It’s okay to ask for help. “In the multitude of counselors, there is safety.”
I’m rooting for you…
